Today an adult male has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage at a property on Taylors Hill, Chilham and remains in police custody whilst enquiries continue.
Whilst the incident resulted in the deployment of multiple policing units as well Kent Fire and Rescue, the incident remains isolated.
There may be an ongoing police presence whilst officers remain at scene to gather evidence.
We would also like to thank local residents for their patience in relation to the matter following the temporary closure of Taylors hill and we are working expeditiously to get the road re-opened as soon as possible.
